Helen A. Harrison

Helen A. Harrison is the director of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in East Hampton, a former New York Times art critic and NPR arts commentator.

Her non-fiction books include HAMPTONS BOHEMIA: TWO CENTURIES OF ARTISTS AND WRITERS ON THE BEACH (with Constance Ayers Denne), SUCH DESPERATE JOY: IMAGINING JACKSON POLLOCK, and monographs on Jackson Pollock and Larry Rivers.

Her three mystery novels are set in the New York art world. AN ACCIDENTAL CORPSE, which re-imagines Pollock’s fatal car crash, won the 2019 Benjamin Franklin Gold Award for Mystery & Suspense.

Greer Hendricks
