Forensic Art: Facial Approximation from Skeletal Remains
What does a skull tell you? Join forensic artist Joe Mullins and learn hands-on how the skull reveals vital clues about age, ancestry, sex, facial structure, and people’s unique anatomical features. Through a blend of science and art, the session demonstrates the methods used in forensic facial approximation to assist investigators to identify unknown individuals.

From First Impression to Confession
A 60-minute interactive presentation by Brad Beeler, a former Secret Service Special Agent, that takes the audience inside the interview room and walks through the process from the first few seconds of meeting someone all the way to getting them to open up and tell the truth. Covering first impressions, building trust, reading behavior, asking better questions, detecting possible deception, and other techniques used during real criminal interviews and interrogations.

Witness for the Prosecution
How accurately can you describe a scene you’ve only seen for a few moments? In this interactive workshop, participants watch a short video. Afterwards, they are asked to describe certain aspects of the scene from memory and work with our experts to apply their recollections to the crime. The workshop offers a fascinating, hands-on look at eyewitness memory, forensic interviewing, and the role of composite sketches in criminal investigations. It also demonstrates why eyewitness descriptions can be valuable investigative leads while remaining imperfect and subject to memory limitations.

X-Ray Identity Portrait Booth
Discover what lies beneath the surface in this unique interactive experience. Participants will have a side-profile photograph taken, which will be used to examine their facial structure and create a realistic interpretation of what their skull might look like. Each participant will receive their personalized skull portrait as a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
